    “Hidden” Door in Vertical Skirting?

I have a clone of this door under our deck:

I’m trying to add the bottom trim piece, but I wasn’t sure if there’s a better way to handle the hinge-side, while still letting the door open more than 90*?

Perhaps different hinges? Maybe large 170-175 degree opening cabinet hinges?

Possible it allows the door trim to swing clear of adjacent trim?

I have seen similar style on a fridge that yields 3-4” clearance.

Yea, it was a consideration at one point, but it ended up getting gate hinges like seen.

Couldn’t justify the cost for a good set of heavy-duty outdoor rated hidden hinges.

If you don't use that door often (i.e., an access door) just attach it with some magnets. When you need to go under there, pop that trim strip off and lay it to the side.
