Ken I love making segmented bowls. I use a slightly different technique which involves using a miter saw and compound miters. I learned this technique from Don Russell at John C. Campbell Folk School. It involves using a compound miter booklet that you get from Bridge City tools. It works great but I am probably not the best one to explain it. I have done quite a few bowls and vases with the technique. In October I am taking another course that carries the technique farther to create rings of compound miters to form an urn. I hope to be able to post pictures when I return. Love the segmented construction. It has reduced my scrap barrel significantly.

I have done so much with so little for so long I am now qualified to do anything with nothing......
P.S. If you are interested in plans for any project that I post, just put some money in an envelope and mail it to me and I will keep it.
Sweet looking bowl. Makes me wanna go buy a lathe and give it a shot. Nice job!!!!
