For sale is a new in box set of Japanese hand forged bench chisels. Made for Jindaiko Honpo most likely by blacksmith Nakano-san in the traditional fashion of forge welding plain high carbon steel to a softer iron body. Steel is Hitachi shirogami 1.
These have not been sharpened or set up yet. I bought them on a bit of an impulse as an extra set, and I really don’t need them. I’m fairly certain that you can find some info on this specific chisel if you search Neanderthal Haven’s threads.
Only asking what I have in them (with shipping from Japan) which is $550. Anyone in the know knows that this is a good price for a solid quality chisel that will preform just as well as some better known, higher priced brands but without the crazy huge price tag.
