FS: Martin T78 - Fair Condition

    Hi all,

I have a 1986 Martin T78 (non-beveling slider) I'm looking to get rid of, make me an offer! I'm no longer a working cabinetmaker and my shop will just be a hobbyist shop for the foreseeable many years, so my Saw Stop will be enough machine for me. This machine is just sitting gathering dust for over a year since I bought this machine at auction (IRS Auctions, I'm sure some of you on here saw it when it was up last year).

I bought it for $2,300 and the biggest 'disappointment' from my inspection of it is a missing end block on the cross cut fence, there is only a stop block so it will need either a replacement part of an aftermarket / shop-made block at the cutting end of the crosscut fence. Otherwise the ways are in decent shape, the overarm dust collection is stout. Some surface rust but nothing bad on the body or inside the machine. It needs clean up/tuning and presumably adjustment once it's set up and running, I've never had it under power in my new shop. I am not looking to get what I paid for it, any reasonable offer will be considered! I just want the space back in my small little hobbyist shop and someone to get this saw tuned up and back into use, it's doing no one any good in its current state.

    Details:
    Sliding Table Length: 3300mm (130"/10')
Saw Blade: Min. 200mm, Max. 450mm
    Speeds: 2800, 4000, 5500 RPM
    Arbor Diameter: 1-1/4" (31.75mm)
    Scoring Arbor Diameter: 22mm
    Arbor Motor: 7.5 HP (5.5kW)
    Voltage: 220V 3Ph 60Hz
    Manual fence adjustment
    Riving knife
    Overhead guard with dust collection
    Current Rating: 23.1A
    Year: 1986
    Serial no. V 144222

Also willing to include blades (dado stacks, 12", 16" blades) and a 15HP phase converter for additional cost as well.

Thanks for reading, hopefully someone is interested. Machine is located in midcoast Maine.

I wish I had time to come get it.

Forum rules dictate I need to list a price — asking price is $1,500 for the saw.

If I just had a place to put it!

    PM sent.

Assuming it runs and the only missing piece is a crosscut stop block this is a heck of a deal. I would suggest listing the saw on Woodweb and Facebook Marketplace. If my shop were just a bit larger I would be there in a New York minute.

Now I see that is a non-tilting saw. Still a solid unit, but limited.
