King Electric garage heater price question

Hi All, I’m looking at about a 5KW heater for my small 250 square-foot insulated shop in the Seattle area.
I found a product from King that is $1400 and has a remote. I would like a remote. I can’t figure out why it is $1400 and I can see other products for 180 to 400. Anybody know why it’s so much more expensive? Is it worth it?

Can you post a link to the product you are looking at?

For $1400 you should be able to get a small mini split heat pump if you install it yourself. Or a 6000 BTU combo A/C heater wall unit for under $500.

5000 watts seems like a lot for a small shop in Seattle. Try one of those 1500 watt 120 volt heaters.

I like the idea of a window air conditioner wit a heat option. 1200 BTU should be plenty. A mini split would be the
    Cadillac option.
