    laser cut Stencil letters

I am a hobbyist and have a used 40 watt Epilog Mini laser for my own use mostly. I have been asked to make some stencils out of mylar that are mostly text. I have a font called Balton Stencil that will work but the only way I have found to use it is to set it up as an engraving job and burn through the mylar. Is there a better way to do this or a text font that could be cut rather than engraved. I know that to cut on the Epilog, the lines have to be hairlines. I don't know if that is true on all lasers or not.
Any insight in to making text stencils would be appreciated.
I have Corel Draw Standard 2021

All the text that I have used has the ability to be vector cut. Coreldraw can do that with a simple feature. I highlight the text then right mouse click on the red color.

Thanks Robert, I couldn't duplicate what you said, but with that information I was able to find out how to put a hairline around the outline of the text and delete the fill. Thanks for pointing me toward the solution.
