    Quilt Display Rack

Well, I built one of these out of cherry for my teen daughter and posted sometime last year. Had no plans to ever make another until the wife decided she wanted one in the living room for her quilts. But she wanted one made from walnut. Thankfully, I saved the mdf templates from the previous project, that was a great time saver.
I have several 8/4 walnut boards given to me by a non-woodworking friend. These boards are so nice containing no sapwood that I actually hated to cut them up. All walnut including the dowels with rub on poly for finish.
(Sorry these pics are sideways, attempted to correct but no go)

Very nice! I love seeing art used to display art, the pic with the quilt hanging on it screams culture to me. Thanks for sharing.

    Good use for those planks.

BTW I guess you don't have a cat.

Ha, the wife is a dedicated quilter but also a serious cat lover. She has two house cats and has fostered over 100 orphaned kittens for a local rescue.
