    Etimoe (African Rosewood) form

Okay everyone I'm trying something new this time I have glued up four pieces of Etimoe (African Rosewood) and put them on the lathe in a different orientation to be turned. This will be my next canvas, a small 6" sphere. I bored a 2 1/8" flat spot on the curved side of the blank, this allows my worm chuck to sit flat while shaping the sphere between centers. This form will be hand carved after I hand draw the design.
