Found a new old stock twin cylinder pump with pressure lubrication locally, and now am trying to figure out what the best speed to run it at is.
I've seen 700 rpm mentioned.
The only name on the compressor is a stamped metal tag indicating "PKL/ELS Made in USA 31186 A" See pic.
It has a 12 inch dia flywheel for a single std v-belt drive, so am thinking a 3 hp motor I have should drive it. The motor is 3450 rpm, so 2.5 in drive pulley = 720 rpm at the pump.
Suggestions and advice welcome.
