    Spoon Tray?

Needed a break from all them sharpening threads...so...
Sorted through what is left in the scrap pile.....then resaw them all down....Flatten them all down...select the 4 that are closest to the same thickness...

Cleared off the tablesaw....needed to make them close to the lengths I needed....then the ends were "Squared" up..
    Spoon Tray, mitre setting .JPG
    Yes, it reads 80 degrees...
Spoon Tray, a few parts .JPG
Also have a 1/8" thick slab for the bottom....
    Spoon Tray, 10 degrees .JPG
Guess I won't be needing this square...
Spoon Tray, slipped a little .JPG
However, this one will be very busy...
Spoon Tray, laid out corner .JPG
Have 2 settings to use...one to lay out the pins, the other to carry the cut lines down to a baseline....Then the freshly sharpened Jackson Backsaw...
    Spoon Tray, backsaw work .JPG
And that will do as a start...Was getting tired from all the resaw stuff...wanted to avoid any Brain Vapours....Can try again, later today....

    Stay tuned

Spoon Tray 2, pins done .JPG
Traced around the pins...saw and chop out the waste for the tails...and a dry fit..
Spoon Tray 2, dry fit #1 .jpg
Might be a bit rough to clamp up, come glue-up time...
Spoon Tray 2, busy bench .JPG
One corner done, 3 to go....

Just that it is now Lunch Time...
    Spoon Tray 2, Lunchtime .JPG
    And a sub....
    Stay tuned...

It would seem that 2 such corners is more than enough "work" for one day...don't want to work too hard for a Friday...Good or otherwise..so
Spoon Tray 2 corners, dry fit .JPG
Will be rather tricky to clamp up...may have to angle some cauls..
Spoon Tray 2 corners, check for square .JPG
And try to keep things square..
Spoon Tray 2 corners, weighty subject .JPG
May have to resort to a bit of weight....

All that can wait a day...
Spoon Tray 2 corners, next 2 .JPG
As I have two more corners to mill...

    Stay tuned...

Will be a bit too busy, with other things this week (mainly doctor visits, rehab for vertigo, and the Boss has errands) to make it down to the shop. Maybe next weekend, eh?
