    A Little Deep(er) Maple

Same maple tree. This one is a little deeper and I did pull a small core out of (more to come).

~8.1" dia. X ~4.5" deep, ~5/16 wall. A little character in the wall in the center picture. Can't see through the knot but it might fall out as it dries.

Used a 50mm tenon for coring. Not smart but got to work.

    C&C welcomed.

Very nice. What coring system do you use?
    Thank you,

Nothing much to critique. Nice bowl form.

Some maple can be rather plain. Use this as an excuse to try out dye stains, carving or other techniques to add some character.

Rich, I use a McNaughton system.
