I purchased one for a past co worker years ago and she is always saying friends of her ask where it came from because they want one too.
The other wrench type gadgets is kinda like just using a bigger hammer,

Friend showed me his way years ago (when neither of us had arthritis).
He turned the jar upside down and hit the lid flat on the counter, (not too hard, just a sharp rap).
It was enough to break the vacuum seal and then the lid just screwed off very easily.
I've used the method for anything in a glass jar or bottle: e.g. juice, jam/preserves, pickles, olives, etc.
