    I love figured maple

I'm bringing out wood for my booth at the Midwest Penturners Gathering in Hoffman Estates, IL in April. I ran this piece over the jointer today, and have an incredible urge to put it back and not sell it.

I believe I would stick that back on my storage rack and take other wood to sell at the gathering.

IME, the fabulous figure in a piece of quilted maple like that becomes much less noticeable when it is cut into small pieces like pen blanks. Save it for something better!

+1. Thinking the same thing. Beautiful piece. What are the dimensions?

Oh goodness, there's zero chance I would sell that, much less that I'd cut it into little pieces.
