    Stair railing height check

I'm designing a railing for a set of steps. The step rise is 5-1/4" and the run is 11". These steps already exist, so they cannot be changed.

The railing would be supported by two posts attached to the side of the concrete steps as shown below. I know that since the total height of the platform is only 10-1/2' that no hand rail is required, but a rail is wanted anyway.

Does the railing height at the points dimensioned meet code? If not how much does the railing height need to change to be code compliant.

30 to 38 inches from a point directly above the stair nose is my understanding of the code. So your design looks like a yes to me.
    Best Regards, Maurice
