Does anyone know where I can get 8/4 air-dried walnut in the Pacific Northwest? I am in Seattle and need about 60 bd ft. I have tried the common hardwood suppliers here and they only stock kiln dried. Thanks!

I would run a cheap classified ad.
I'd try Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. I'd be looking for semi-pro folks selling slabs they cut themselves. You'll need to be able to turn 2"-3" thick roughsawn slabs into whatever lumber you need -- so a bandsaw and an 8" jointer.
I agree with Jamie, My suggestion was based on seeing rural people stack up and save a lot of stuff. But when they read somebody wants
stuff they have been saving ,they will sometimes bite.
I don't particularly feel like milling up 60 bd ft from slabs, so I will try a Craigslist ad and see what pops up in the way of air dried lumber.
You might look up I think it is Urban lumber in Springfield Oregon if you want to travel. 1 541 762 2256. They get trees (did) when builders developed property etc.
Good luck. Tony. If you check them out report back what you find
Look very closely at quality.
Hi David,
What final dimensions are you looking for? I have a friend with a BS mill in Wenatchee that sourced some of the walnut from the fire 7+ years ago. Kiln dried????
Not sure how much or what dimension he has but will find out if still looking. I live in Edmonds and can help mill it for you as needed--hobby shop. Thanks, John.
