A Proper Home For The Champ

I had a moment of clarity around 2009 and bought a Fender Champ parts kit from Dan Torres. I made the chassis and put it together right away, then I got so busy that it has been sadly neglected ever since. I started a proper cabinet for it today. I have a tone test comparison challenge from my nephew who wants to sample it into his digital modeling amp. Here are images of starting the project. It will be made from scraps.

No progress. I had to go back to digging ditches : ( . I give myself 1 point for not using nails or screws then 5 demerits for not using box joints then 10 demerits for not having any dovetails.

I am tempted to add reverb.

I used to have a Tweed Champ clone in a Tweed Deluxe cabinet with a 12" speaker (Victoria 5112). Put it in a light pine cabinet and no reverb is required. The cab resonates by itself.
Sharp solves all manner of problems.

I showed it to my Nephew. He is excited to borrow it. Hopefully I can make some progress this week. Dan Torres goes out of his way to include the best parts available.

I am creeping along at a snail's pace.... I am not 100% pleased with the design.
