Thanks to Keith, Jackie, Aaron and the Moderator team for providing a civil place where we can exchange information in a civil manner!

This is pretty much the only forum I frequent any more. Civil discourse is what makes this forum stand above the rest! Thanks Keith and all your helpers too!

This is the ONLY forum I frequent. Thank you Keith and all the moderators for keeping it civil. And of course SMC provides a wealth of information. I am currently working my way through the old Neander threads, reading the ones that catch my eye. It doesn't seem to matter what problem I'm struggling with, or what issue I'm interested in, there's a thread that addresses it.

I bought the Badger Pond CD when Wayne Miller shut down the site. It won't run on any of my equipment either.

I too want to thank Keith and all the other unsung heroes that keep, and have kept Sawmill Creek “the place for me”!
Don't let it bring you down,
    It's only castles burning,
    Just find someone who's turning,

I just happened to log on here after years of not doing much woodworking. My last thread was way back in 2016 when I was trying to work out a too many tools/not enough space problem which STILL hasn't been solved. I still have all the tools and piles of wood but swapped my woodworking addiction for a fishing fishing addiction. When I was an 'active' woodworker, I came here several times a week. This site is a treasure and the accumulated knowledge of so many woodworkers in one place is invaluable. I am glad to see it is still alive! 20 years... WOW! The pic in my avatar doesn't look like me anymore.

I just happened to make it here today because a friend had a Porter Cable 8529 router which wasn't working and Sawmill Creek popped up in my Google search. He was going to 'gift' it to me. I replaced the capacitors on the speed controller for him and gifted it back because he'll use it more than me.

Cheers to all the people who keep this site going.

I work for a large cloud provider and you dead on. AWS has very expensive egress charges that would cost dearly for a high traffic web site. The compute and storage is inexpensive but they get you on the way out.

Patty, I offered SawMill Creek coffee mugs several years ago. Sadly my dye-sub printer no longer works but I can probably take orders and find a company who will make mugs for us if there is enough people who want them.
