    Workshop bookcase

I have an under-the-stairs closet, like the one Harry Potter lives in at 4 Privet Drive. I have kept my woodworking books in there. I got rid of a lot of them and kept these remaining books. I can’t stand walking back into the house to get the book that has that one thing I need to look up.
I made this to try a few new things: Houndstooth dovetails, spring joints, and shiplap. I made it from 8/4 cherry.

Looks good Todd. How did you resaw the cherry?

How is your dust control? I’d only consider books in my shop if I kept them in a cabinet. Nice job on the shelf.

Dust collection is slightly above average. I cherish books like friends, so maybe someday, if I feel like they are being neglected by dust, I will add a door.
