Best way to show a price reduction and other edits to a previously posted Classified

I wish to edit my original Classified Ad post and also reduce the for sale price. What is the best way to do this?

Beyond a short edit window, "you" cannot edit your thread/posts. You can ask a moderator to help you make any changes, however. Be sure that when you do, you provide a link to the actual thread so whomever you are working with doesn't have to do a dance to find it.

Instead of doing what Jim suggested, contacting the moderator, does it make sense to just reply to the post with the updated version?

That is also an option that many folks use and doesn't require any intervention by a moderator. It also bumps the thread.
