Greetings. I have been using windows 8.1 on a macbook pro for a long time. Each year I have to pay for the Parrallels software upgrade so that parallels will stay current if I upgrade the mac. I want to buy a cheap windows laptop instead to run RDcam on my laser. My laser was purchased in 2014 and works just fine with the clunky RDcam controller and software. I would only use the laptop for running RDcam.

RDcam v.6

So my questions are:
Will a cheap Windows 10 laptop work, does it need to be intel?, Windows 10 Pro?, Windows 11?

And if I ever need to upgrade the controller or RDcam version, how do I do that?

How do I get the RDcam software onto the new laptop.

Thanks Marty
