    Maple score today

I caught a lot sale at a mill yesterday, a day late as I they had a few walnut lots that went. I have been waiting for some walnut. However, I did score 12/4 curly maple and 6/4 birdseye. All the curly is rough but a few boards of the birdseye had a surface planed. A quick thinner wipe, thrilled as I paid 3 bucks a bd/ft.

    That is a good score.
12/4 maple that’s dry now that would make a awesome handtool bench.

A quick visual estimate, 1k? Very nice score...$3 bf is way too tempting to pass up.

I take it back and say half. I was thinking 14' boards... your truck bed isn't that long.

$3 bf ?? Wow! Great price. Is that kiln dried?

That would time to give the springs in the back end a workout.

I ballparked 4'x8'x16", so 500 feels right. That is one heck of a score for $3 a bf.
