That looks much better now. Next time, don't be afraid to flood the dye on. If you don't have a sprayer just use a quality spray bottle that will mist evenly. Soak the surface until it is uniformly wet then blot it all off quickly. Some of the unevenness looks like it might be due to uneven sanding. Be sure to sand evenly before starting. And raise the grain first with plain water and sand again before dying.
