The book is finally complete! It took several years and Covid to pull it all together. You will find it is a comprehensive tour de force of history, design and diversity of construction methods. The definitive book on small shop production of custom doors. When I looked for this book 30 or 40 years ago, none could be found. This book is meant to be used, to enable a shop to add custom doors to its product line-up, or to concentrate on this largely unused niche.

The author has been a professional woodworker for over 50 years, concentrating mostly in the architectural field. Doors - and anything that swings or moves - has been the arena for which his shop has been best known. The book covers everything from drawing and design, thru history, to materials to machines to finished product. Color photos and author drawn line drawings explain all the processes.

New shaper owner here (Hammer F3). I plan to purchase some door-making cutters soon for this machine.
Please put my name in the hat. Thanks.
