    Type 20 Stanley 5 1/4

This is not the usual Type 20 handplanes I have seen. This plane has seen almost zero use and I would guess the previous owner spent more time drilling the hang hole than using it. The blue on the plane is 99.99% intact on both the frog and the body of the plane. I stripped and ebonized the knob and tote with steel wool/vinegar soup & tannic acid. I repainted the background on the Stanley yellow and shined up the lever cap which had some crud on it. Other than that it still retains all of the nickel coating. It is tuned up and making even, wispy side and face shavings. It is a good plane for youngsters. I already have a 5 1/4 for my grandson's and I don't need this one. Proceeds from it will be used to buy another toy for their toolchest. Asking $70 plus the hated S/H. Thanx for looking.
