FS: Stanley No. 52 Shooting Board

I am selling a fully complete No. 52 Stanley Shooting Board (no plane included) that has all original parts and is in excellent condition. It is attached to a custom hand made mounting board (finished walnut). It was dimensioned by hand, and then I used a wooden molding plane on the edges. After treatment/sealing I attached a rubberized base on the underside.

This can be used with the original Stanley 51, the Lie Nielsen 51, or the Veritas Shooting Board. I spent A LOT of money on acquiring this (only option was to buy along with a 51 Shooting Plane), and despite my asking price being an amount that might seem unreasonable to some, it absolutely isnÂ’t. In fact, IÂ’M TAKING A LOSS.

51/52 Combinations (all original and undamaged with all parts) are RARELY sold on the market, and when they are they fetch overf $2k (close to $3k even). Seeing a 52 Board sold by itself is even more uncommon and they are HIGHLY sought after because they can be used with modern Shooting Planes like Lie Nielsen and Veritas.

Serious inquiries only please, and I am not taking any offers/trades; the ask price is non-negotiable and payment can be made in person (in cash) or online via Paypal Goods and Services. Shipping and fees will be evaluated/added to sale price, and I will split the cost for shipping/fees with the buyer.

If you are intent on buying it I would like to use FaceTime/zoom to show everything in real-time where you can throughly inspect it closely.

I think that explains everything. Please reach out if interested and we can chat and get you as many photos as youÂ’d like (live video would be ideal.

$1,400 (for complete Stanley 52 on custom made mount.)

    Cheers,
    -Matthew

Edit: It’s been a while since I have used this forum and it no longer gave an option to add photos to my listing. I’ll send a link to a album with timestamps to serious inquiries (or conduct lice video chat)

Matthew, not a buyer but I wanted to point out the "Add Pictures" button as it's easy to miss. Does this show up for you when you edit your post?

(If the site's just giving you an error then I can't help there. I'm only posting because I recently made a for sale thread and the "add images" button wasn't where I thought it would be.)

Matthew, You should be able to add images, either with an "Edit Post" or a "Reply to Thread."

Clicking on the icon that looks like a picture of a tree will allow posting one image at a time. The image will be where the cursor is when the image is uploaded.

When editing or Replying if you double click on the 'button" it will give a different set of icons:

The Paper Clip will let you upload two images at a time. Once they are uploaded you can "Insert Inline" to load them all where the curser is resting in the text or use the little down arrow next to the paper clip To load them one at a time where the curser sits.

If you have already started a post, there is also a button labeled "Go Advanced," this will show what you already have composed and bring up the "Advanced" options.

Hope this helps as lots of us often come to the Classifieds just to look at the pictures.

So I am not seeing an option to add photos directly in thread, BUT here is a link to an Imgur photo album. https://imgur.com/a/qB1vIBR
