    An Interesting Calendar

Fun project I just finished. This is a replica of the Dead Sea Scrolls calendar with extras I made, the hands and the shafts to hold them. Lots of marking and use of small carving tools. I’m pleased with it but will do it again because I know I can do better. Going to make a few tools for the carving work.

Thank goodness for that Shepard boy and the sound of breaking pottery back in 47! That is excellent and unusual.

Probably can't talk much about the Dead Sea Scrolls without bringing religion into the discussion. They were a favorite topic with my Grandmother.

James, Please forgive my levity ! It’s my way of coping with extraterrestrial stuff. Fine work .
Always been interested in sundials, noon-marks, and early clocks.

No offense taken Mel. In fact it does resemble an old radio dial. Funny how so much of what we know is based in circles.
