I'm surprised that nobody has posted this video yet. I'm sure many have gotten the Felder email, but maybe nobody really dug into this. It's an amazing and entertaining video. I'm sure this machine is way out of bounds for most people, but fun to see:

Five axis machines can do kewel stuff for sure. There's a fellow on the 'Tube posting as Lignum that has a couple of what he calls "Robots" that are also five axis and they get used in a wide variety of ways. Neat to watch for sure!

I watched a 6-axis cutting a rotary compressor scroll (impeller). It was magic.

And the dance moves were just about as impressive as the machine. I think you are right about it being WAY out of bounds for most people, but definitely fun to see what's possible. Now, back to my regularly scheduled 3 axis machine programming.
