    Change to Forum?

I used to use the following URL to access the new posts on the forum - http://www.sawmillcreek.org/search.p...29,39,40,43,44

But now, that no longer works. I set a "Sorry, no matches" message. Did the forum numbers change? How can I see the forum numbers? It's been a long time since I put together that URL and I don't remember how I got those forum numbers.

My 'include' argument stopped working some time ago. If there is a fix I would love to know about it. We need a bag of tricks to navigate in this outdated software.

    Mike,

try changing the "http://" to "https://" and see if that helps.

At some point the site changed over to secure and started breaking my bookmarks. Hopefully, that's your only issue.

I tried https://, and no change.

A few days ago we had to update our digital certificate for SawMill Creek. At the same time our internet provider decided to change all of our static IP addresses for this server and all of our domains, we were given just a few days to make the adjustments. I'm not sure how many people were affected by the changes or which one was the culprit causing problems but I do know that the majority here were not affected at all.

Certainly no problem with the IP address. Seems to be a problem with how the forum software interprets the part after the domain name.
That is, the "search.php?do=getnew&include=3,4,7,10,12,16,23,29 ,39,40,43,44" part.

Not sure about this one, i wonder if adding the new FOTV Forum has caused the problem. Aaron will be here today, I will ask him to take a look.

The last few days, when I close SMC, (I don't log off) it kicks me out and i have to re log in again. Never used to do that - wondering if it's related...

I click the "remember me" check-box when i log in.
Funny, I don't remember being absent minded...

Keith, you may find that if you then click on the Sawmill Creek logo, upper left, that you're actually logged in. That was my case...I had to reset my bookmark.

I’m also finding that every time I try and access the site from either of my 2 windows computers or my iPhone, I’m asked to register or sign in, and both those systems’ software has my sign in credentials imbedded in the browsers.
Hmmm. This iPad, however, brought me right in.

Click on the SMC logo, upper left corner of the site. Then reset your bookmark to that URL. It should solve the issue. There was a recent certificate renewal that may have affected how things land when you use an existing bookmark. This is what solved it for my on MacOS in Chrome, but should behave similarly on Windows.

I discovered that https://sawmillcreek.org/search.php?searchid=19222223 will get me new posts, but it gets me all new posts. The URL I was using only got me new posts in the subforums that I'm interested in.

Try adding https and removing www. The following works for me: https://sawmillcreek.org/search.php?...nclude=3,40,12 Perhaps some issue with redirects on the site.

If I add back the www prefix it signs me out for some reason.

Nope, When I click on your link, I get signed out. When I take the www off, I get the same message as I got earlier, "Sorry, no matches".

    I'm already using https://
