    Media console is finally done

Started back in January and finally it got finished.

All maple and walnut construction, except the shelf. Used maple ply for the shelf. Back is 1/4" maple shiplap. Corners are dovetails rounded over. Partitions sit in dados. Base is separate and is attached via threaded inserts.

Gluing up panels took probably most time followed by the glass door. With both, I screwed up multiple times and had to start again and again.

Finished with 2 coat of shellac and 3 coats of EM6000.

Roughly 48" long, 21" heigh and 18" deep.

Very nice. The contrasting wood looks good. I'm intrigued with the fold down door part of the design.

Anuj, that is an impressive media console. The wood grain is dramatic, and contrasts nicely with the clean lines. Eye catching and functional at the same time.
