    I totally hate this thread! I have a set of Narex chisels, my first set, but now feel a need coming on for some Japanese chisels. I must admit that I am getting better at "not buying" tools but that is probably more about knowing I would be on vacation this week.

    What has happened to Koyamaichi chisels? I acquired mine before they were sold by Lee Valley, who have been the only seller I know of other than Tools from Japan (Stu Kierney). Stu is no longer selling tools and Lee Valley no longer stock Koyamaichi.

    Sometimes I will show Candy a set of premium tools from LN or LV before asking her if we can afford to spend much less on a tool that has caught my eye.
