During the first COVID lockdown in 2020 we landscaped our yard, my wife was pregnant at the time so we weren’t really doing much. I’ve always loved water features, I find the sound very zen. So I found a space in my new backyard and decided I’d give building one a go. First step was drawing it up on sketch up and getting the wife’s approval, that went better than expected. Second I poured a reinforced pad and framed up the structure, I roughed in the plumbing after that. It’s sheathed in 3/4” OSB and covered in ship lap cedar. Reservoir is lined with pond liner. Powering the 3 spillways is a 3/4 hp pool pump (each spillway needs 1000 gph). I’m not sure why I didn’t post this, I absolutely love how it turned out, really adds the the backyard.
