I bought this plane in 2007, so the box says. It was lightly used in the early years, though not much in the last 10 years. It has been kept waxed, in a cabinet and is in excellent shape. I don't know what wood is currently used for the knob and tote (appears to be cherry from looking at the website), but the wood on this one is an exotic, bubinga as I recall. Blade is A2.

It will be shipped disassembled and in the original box with secondary wrapping over the box.

These are out of stock until the end of July at the earliest. Current retail is $262 with the A2 blade and free shipping. Price for this one is $225, plus shipping. That may put it around $240 - not a huge discount from new one, but this one is available, in excellent condition and has the much more desirable wood.

Just wanted to say that I clicked on your name and looked at your work, all I can say is WOW!! What beautiful work you do! I play around turning so I have a real appreciation for what you do and the level of your work. Randy

Randy, I really appreciate your kind words!! As you probably know by this point, turning is therapeutic. I do approach it more as a means to an end - the production of a piece of art, but I can also appreciate those that just enjoy making curlies!!

As far as the smoother, the value will only increase so if it doesn't sell at this price then next year it will be worth more even at half of the current inflation rate. I fully expect both LN and LV to increase prices in the near future as supply chain issues are impacting both of them. From recent communications with LN I know they are experiencing some supply chain issues that are impacting their ability to meet demand. But, they are hopeful things will change in the near future.
