    Segmented vase with cross design

    Experiment adding design to vase.
    Approximate height x diameter: left 4 ½ x 4, middle 2 ¾ x 3, right 4 ½ x 5 ½.
The crosses are fillers, not wedges and are full width inserts which distorts the ring before being turned.
The upright is cut from one height wedge and parted after glue up to make top and bottom on the cross.
Left and right have 3 crosses, rings are cut as 12 segments per ring except the bar ring which is 9 segments.
The middle has 4 crosses all rings cut with 12 segments. Left oak, walnut and cherry. Middle mixed fis(found in shop)Cross2.jpg. Right cherry, mahogany, holly, ash and walnut.
