Metor storm Monday night 1:00 AM EDT

predicted metor storm Monday night peaking at 1:00 Am EDT. Possible 1,000 per hour. Or it may be a total bust.

Thanks. I will take a nap so I can try to be awake. The planets in the east just before sunrise have been neat. This morning with the crescent moon was supposed to be stunning. Heavy cloud cover here, could not see anything.

We tend to miss a lot of this in the Pacific North West due to cloud cover.

It's most likely going to be a bust. Even if everything happens just right the meteors are expected to be moving very slowly. This means they aren't going to be easily visible as they burn up. Still, it's worth the chance if the sky is clear.

From what we saw the shower was pretty much a bust. We went out at 12:50 eastern time and watched for 1-1/2 hours and saw a total of about a doze meteor trails. None were very bright and none were very long.

That was a bust. Sorry to waste your time. My wife saw two I saw none. For some reason none of the web sites said which way to look.

The sky was awesome this morning. I could start to imagine that what seems to be Terra firma is just a dust mote hurtling through the universe. It is nice to have the company of our solar system. I hope it stays clear over the next few nights and we get some rain during the days.
