By panhandle standards I'm just around the corner (about 20 miles south of your McKinney corner, unfortunately), but will be in Midland Sunday night.
Not sure how to work the logistics, but I could mill something to your specs, then meet you along the road somewhere...?
Or mill it and ship it? Next Day Air? We'd have to hurry to get it out tonight.
ETA - I have some 8/4 R.Oak, a J/P, & BS - - UPS store is about 1/2 mile away.

A further lament only, I lived in Amarillo twice, but I was a kid and have no remaining contacts there - - Sorry.

Thanks for the assist offer Malcom. Don’t think I can make it work though.

Steve,
I know this is too late, but I noticed that the Library up there is working on setting up a maker space

Thanks John. I passed on trying to make the thresholds but got a lot of other stuff done. Taught Suzanne how to use a mitre saw and nail gun and she ran two rooms of base and shoe mold while I did a fireplace surround and some other things.
