    Need source for brass screws

I'm looking for some #4 Philips head brass screws. I'd like 5/16-inch length, but I can do with 1/4 if I have to. 3/8 is too long.

I've found slotted head 1/4" screws but no Phillips head. I know they're available because Brusso hinges come with Phillips head brass screws (a bit longer then 5/16").

I've looked in a number of places but no luck so far. I've tried McFeely and Lee Valley and a few other places.

    Anyone know of a source?

    Mike

I usually use Bolt Depot for brass screws, but they don't have them that short. This place has them, but I have no experience with the company.

I'm a sucker for McMaster. Not the cheapest, but perhaps the best website design on the internet and next day delivery.

Screws, Number 4 Size, 1/4" Long

Thanks. I don't know why I didn't think of McMaster-Carr. I put an order into them.

Thanks. I went to their site and one good thing about them is the free shipping.

They were out of stock with the #3. Didn't look at the #2.

Do you have an Ace Hardware nearby? The larger store near me has an extensive stock of wood and machine screws. They have steel and brass round and flat head wood screws down to #2. All are available by the box or individual pieces.

I ordered those screws from McMaster-Carr yesterday about 4pm. They arrived today about noon - with standard shipping. That's really fast. Of course, the screws didn't weigh very much.
