    Gravograph driver?

    Hello all ..
    Back from a looong vacation!

I've run across an LS800 deal that's too good to pass up,
but there's no software included. (they're using it on
another Gravograph) And I don't really want anything
with a dongle, nor do I care to learn another program
that inserts itself between my existing work files and the
    laser.

So I thought to myself "Self? You haven't checked in at
the Creek in a few weeks.."

Wondering if anyone knows of a link for a standalone driver.
Or if it exists? Search engines are turning out to be of much
less value than they used to be. And I haven't heard back
from Gravotech, but I'm not a customer and not buying a
    new machine, so..

I know there's a few people here with this (or similar) unit,
so I figure someone might know..

    thanks

I've heard it's fairly easy to run a Gravograph rotary machine with 3rd party or home-made software, but then, those machines only require a minimum of instructions. But I don't of any way around at least a Gravograph driver for running one of their lasers. Gravograph has separate drivers for use with Corel and other programs, so their spendy Gravostyle software isn't necessary to run the machine. One catch is, the drivers come with the Gravostyle software

BUT, the drivers are just separate files on the disk, and I have about 4 versions of them. My older G5 driver I have should load and work for you, but I'm not sure. The machine's controller and firmware must be in good working order, that much I know.

In the meantime, I've attached it below, unzip it and run the 'setup' program "as administrator" and see what happens You may or may not need the machine connected for it to fully install... It might ask for connection type, if so choose parallel, at least until you get the machine...

    Not sure it'll work?

    Thanks, Kev..
I was able to find this online too, but wasn't sure if
it was the standalone driver or not.
    I'll give it a shot!

If you didn't get it going, you can use the L solution driver. It's a free download, let me know or notify Gravotech you need a link and we'll get it to you. I think the new ones will work with an LS800. You have to run the program and follow directions to set it up, but it's pretty simple. Works with Corel, maybe adobe, not sure that's an older machine, no longer supported completely, but some parts are still available. I know a few folk still running those.
