Gorgeous as always, Phil. Is that Osmo on it? That cherry is stunning. And I think the mattress will be well supported on those maple “slats”. You could have a dance party on that frame!
Thanks.

Beautiful work, Phil. Doing a similar project, but I'm not sure how to address wood movement on the wide panel connection to the legs. Curious to see how you handled it. Are those pinned mortises on the headboard? Any glue in there? Thanks.
That came out really nice! The cherry is awesome, my favorite domestic hardwood. This is a project that I need to tackle at some point and this post is very inspiring.
Nice design, good wood selection, great finish, quality woodworking. All around well done.

Thanks much gents: much appreciated!
Ted: sent you a PM
Beautifully done, sir. Great lines, cherry is always a winner and the single(?) edge joint in the headboard is especially well executed as it looks to be a single board. Thanks for sharing.
Best,
Chris

Love the use of wide material. Very elegant design too.
Thanks much gentlemen!
Chris: yes its a single joint that will spend it life hidden by pillows!
Scott: I was very fortunate to get a nice supply of very wide lumber a few years ago: it makes a difference in the look.
Great looking bed Phil.
Are you going to make buttons to cover the bolt heads?

Magnets are a great idea, should work well. Will you make the covers stand proud or flush?
