    How do you reply to a post and quote part of a prior post

    How do I do the above?

    What I do is to use the "reply with quote" button and then edit out the portion that I don't want to quote, being careful not to delete the: ["QUOTE=Lee Schierer;3188248] [/QUOTE]"

    This particular forum software requires what Lee mentions to do a partial quote or the alternative to copy/paste the text you want to quote and manually put in the quote tagging. (doesn't require the "=name")

    Here's an example although I bolded some text instead of deleting it. Editing the quote also let's you delete pictures if they are not essential to the part of the post you want to quote.
