    Reading long threads

I will use Jim’s, Build Thread, as an example. I get turned upside down on these threads. Once you get to the “more comments below this point” I pretty much give up. It is so frustrating as I would be happy to read all 135 or so posts. Admittedly I am not the sharpest tack in the pile, but what, pray tell, is the key to being able to read all of them simply and in order.

I use linear mode for viewing threads. It starts with the initial post in the thread and just runs through all of them by date/time stamp.

Linear mode should always provide you with all of the posts. Clicking on the little "doo-hickey" just before the first character of the thread title will also get you to the most recent unread post.

While you're in Settings, also change the number of posts to show to 40. "Number of Posts to Show Per Page:"
The default setting is 20, IIRC.
