Chevron pattern on existing ceiling (remodel)

From a bird's eye perspective, this is the concept I'm finding so far:

    - Remove drywall
    - Install OSB decking
    - T&G flooring cut to chevron pattern and installed similar to flooring

Are there resources in YouTube, books, etc that are good for this type of project that you have found? I'm having a surprisingly hard time finding good info from reputable looking builders.

    cheers,

That seems like the most reasonable approach if you're going to use T&G flooring.

Have you looked around to see if there might be a panel-type product available that would give you the look you're after - something that you could attach directly to the ceiling joists?

They have wall paper that looks like flooring.

that's not a bad idea... I can look.

I posted this in the general woodworking forum, but someone introduced me to the idea of using foam core products with veneer as 'planks'. I guess this is the method in commercial to avoid having weight on the ceiling..
