    Shellac Question

I sprayed 2 thin coats of shellac over oil based stain. I’m ready to start spraying em8000 over shellac. I mildly scuffed the top. There are a few areas where a sheen appears from the shellac. Will the satin finish eliminate the difference?

    Yes it will.

The main reason to sand the shellac is to remove any dust nibs or other imperfections from the shellac; basically you are making a smooth substrate for the next layer of finish. It almost acts like a sanding primer in that way.
