    Miter Box ID

I picked this box and saw up the other day. It is labeled a Sears box. The saw is the 6” Disston, a D-5, which appears to be in very good shape. Who made this box and what model is it. Much obliged for any help.

Howdy Jack, a little sleuthing found this on ebay:
Vtg Craftsman heritage sears miter box 881.36302 woodworking carpenters tool
Followed by a look at > http://vintagemachinery.org/craftsma...facturers.aspx < indicates it is made by Hempe. My bet is few have ever heard of them, but there are listings for miter boxes made by them.
