I have some figured walnut that needs a grain filler which is compatible with water-based Target finishes. Do these exist or should I use another filler and a coat of wax-free shellac? Thanks

Rustic? Well, no. That was not my intention!
Aqua Coat clear grain filler and TimberMate Walnut both are water based and will work fine under any waterborne finish as long as you are spraying. If you are brushing on the finish, however, you may want to apply a coat of wax-free shellac first. That probably is not required with the Aqua Coat but probably is if you use TimberMate.

Z-Poxy works great on my guitar projects for grain filling. Warms up the color, too, which is a bonus when using many waterborne finishes.
