Porter cable Router

Does anyone know if a PC 890 router is compatible with the 6931 plunge router base?

I can't say for positive but I am pretty sure the 890 series router has a bigger diameter motor than the 690 series which would make the bases not compatible.

Pretty sure they are if you grind down the indexing pins on the motor.

Yup, I'm pretty sure the diameters are the same. The 890 motor has one pin protruding, doesn't the 690 motor have 3? I don't remember, I had a 690 kit (fixed and plunge base) sold it a number of years ago. If you could find one, the 890 plunge base plunges MUCH nicer than my 690 plunge base did. Dust collection works pretty well on the 890 base too. I think the 890 plunge base is the same as the DeWalt 618 plunge base only machined for the 890 motor.
