    Door lock sensors

    The gas pistons on my door got weak and the door came crashing down.
    Loosened the magnetic sensors on both sides. Now I can't seem to get them to work again. Tried several times to push them up and lock in place but they don't seem to work. can the senors go bad or do I just not have them in the right position?
    is there away around it so I can get a job done
