    Drawer with wings

For a cabinet with accommodation for electrical this drawer design allows space behind without loosing so much access to the contents.

Inside the cabinet there is a power strip and space for things to plug in. Excess wire gets coiled up in the space too.

A stack of drawers had to be shortened to leave space but to give them support when opened the sides were extended. The openings in the sides allow wires to go into cabinets on either side.

    Very nice craftsmanship.

These guys have a readymade solution(s) to accomplish the same thing with the minimum of space loss:

That's a clever way to provide clearance at the rear while still providing full support at depth.

Nice. Also looks like an ideal place to hide an expensive bottle of wine.
