A table I was able to get for free

    Hi
I was able to get this table free from a friend of my wife. A little clean up and re-finishing, and will sell.
It is solid oak, the top and leaves are 3/4 inch thick. No veneer on this table. About 8 feet long with all 6 leaves installed.
9 leaves came with the table.
Table was made by Kiel manufacturing in Wisconsin, dates from the early 1900’s.

That is a really cool design. Looks like the center leg supports the span that the 9 leaves create when installed. I like how it is hidden in the center leg in the closed position.

    Thanks for sharing!

I have a table with that mechanism in it (also 6 leaves extended). Receive a LOT of compliments for its ability to add leaves and seat so many people then collapse to a small compact size. Very functional table. Mine is more contemporary and Amish made out of walnut.

    Hi
Here is a pic of the turnbuckle and opposition support.
It is a beautiful table, the oak is great. Would be nice to save for other projects, but......
    Thanks
    Mark

Sounds like a win win win. Your wife's friend got rid of something they didn't need, you get a little cash for your effort and nothing ended up in a landfill. Maybe four wins, someone ends up with a nice table, interesting design. Well done.
