Sawstop Extension Table Surface (CNC carving router lift holes)

Good morning. I'm planning to put my extension table on the CNC and carve out the opening for a Rockler router lift. But...it's too thin to support the weight of the lift over time. So I need to glue a 3/4 plywood backer onto the bottom.

What is the surface of the table? Is it melamine? Would a melamine glue bond the porous plywood to the surface?

Also, has anyone else done this? If you have Vcarve files you'd share I'd appreciate it.

I dropped my SS extension table when I added the SS RT to the saw. I just drilled a hole in the top. Seems to be 3/4 MDF. There is supporting structure under the top, but agree that additional cross support, at least, would be necessary to make it stable.
