    Wadkin RS headstock weight

    Hi all,

    Can anyone advise what the weight of a wadkin RS headstock is? The bed and tailstock are removed, so I just need to move the headstock end. I've attached a photo of the piece here.

    Don't know the weight, but that is some serious heavy metal. The headstock alone looks heavier than my Laguna 16-36.

    Agreed. The total lathe weight is listed at 1800lb, but I need to know just the headstock weight. I'm picking up for a friend, and want to make sure I won't be over my hauling capacity

    Just as a guess I would plan on 1,000 lbs.

    What a beast! What is the swing? Are all the parts included in the deal (looks to be missing the speed control lever)?
